Not a hechsher

Entries are not a hechsher, a teudat kashrut, a rabbinic ruling or a permission to consume. Presence of an entry implies approval by neither the registry nor any agency.

Shmita and orla indicators are computed automatically under a published method and are informational only. They do not replace a rabbinic ruling and do not account for the circumstances of a particular case.

The only authoritative source on the status of a given product is the certifying agency whose symbol it bears, and your rav.

No warranty

Data is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, currency or fitness for a particular purpose.

Information may have changed since the observation date shown on each field. An empty field means no confirmed data, not a negative answer.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the registry operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the registry, including decisions to purchase, consume, distribute or certify any product.

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including wilful misconduct and gross negligence.

Corrections

Report an inaccuracy: [address]. Reports from certifying agencies and producers are prioritised.

The registry is append-only: entries are superseded rather than deleted, and the change history remains publicly verifiable.

Rights in the data

The registry reproduces factual information from public sources with attribution to the original. Rights in the source materials belong to their holders. A rights holder who considers the extent of reproduction excessive may write to [address].
